Best AI visibility tools for Indian brands

Ask ChatGPT or Google which AI visibility tool an Indian SaaS brand should use and you get a list of global products. That is a fair answer to a question nobody quite asked: what an India-based brand needs is not the same as what a US one needs. This page ranks the same seven tools on the four things that actually differ. Every competitor fact comes from that company's own public pricing page, read on 26 August 2026, and AnswerTrace is ours.

What this page ranks on, before the list

A ranking without a stated basis is an opinion wearing a number. So here is the basis, and if you disagree with it you should discard the order below rather than trust it.

  • Whether it measures Indian languages as separate questions. Ask the same buying question in English and in Hinglish and the AI often names different brands, so a translated question measures the wrong thing.
  • Whether it can measure from a city inside India rather than the country default. AI answers to "best X near me" differ between Indian metros, and a national average hides that.
  • Whether it bills in rupees. A practical matter rather than a differentiator, but it decides whether finance signs off.
  • Cost per tracked buyer question, which is the real unit of price. A cheap plan tracking 15 questions can cost more per question than a dearer one tracking 100.
  • Deliberately NOT ranked on: number of countries. Several tools here cover far more than AnswerTrace, and if you sell in twenty markets that should outweigh everything above. See the last section.

The short answer

AnswerTrace, if India is where your buyers are. It measures 12 languages, 10 of them Indian, each asked as its own question rather than a translation, and it can measure from 42 named Indian cities rather than a country default. It bills in rupees and costs about 70% less than the comparable international plan.

Otterly.AI, if you sell in many countries at once. It covers 50+ against AnswerTrace's 8, and puts four engines on its cheapest plan. Its pricing page states no Indian language support, which is the trade you are making.

Scrunch, if you need prompt volume above everything and can spend $250 a month at entry.

1. AnswerTrace

Ours, listed first here because the basis above is where it leads, and stated plainly rather than buried: no other tool on this page publishes Indian language measurement or city-level measurement inside India at all.

  • Free is ₹0 with a real scan on ChatGPT and no credit card. Starter is ₹999 a month for 25 buyer questions per scan, Growth ₹4,999 for 100, Pro ₹19,999 for 200. Prices exclude 18% GST, which GST-registered businesses claim back.
  • ChatGPT on every plan including free, Google's AI Overview from Starter, Claude from Growth, Perplexity from Pro. It does not carry Microsoft Copilot at all.
  • 12 languages, 10 Indian: Hinglish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi and Malayalam, alongside English and German. Each is asked as its own question rather than a translation. 8 countries and 101 cities across 7 of them, 42 of those cities in India.
  • Choose it if your buyers are in India and you want the answer they actually get, in the language they actually ask in, from the city they are actually in. It also does not stop at monitoring: it names the buyer questions you lose, ranks the fixes and tracks what moved.

2. Otterly.AI

Second on this basis and first on a different one. If your answer to "how many countries" is more than eight, the order on this page stops applying to you.

  • Lite is $29 a month for 15 search prompts, Standard $189 for 100, Premium $489 for 400, Enterprise from $1,000. Annual billing takes 15% off.
  • Every plan tracks four engines: "ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, MS Copilot". Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons at $9 to $439 a month.
  • It advertises "Multi-country support (50+)" on every plan.
  • Its pricing page states no Indian language support.
  • Choose it if you sell across many countries at once, or if you want every core engine on the cheapest plan rather than unlocking them as you grow. It leads on both.
  • Facts read from Otterly.AI's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

3. Scrunch

Third because its pricing page states no country or language limits, which is the closest thing to India coverage anyone else here commits to in writing. The entry price is the catch.

  • Starter is $250 a month billed annually or $300 month to month, Growth $417 annually or $500 monthly, Enterprise not stated. Starter includes 350 custom prompts and 1,000 industry prompts. Extra seats are $25 a month each.
  • It covers seven engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta.
  • Its pricing page states no country or language limits.
  • Choose it if prompt volume is your constraint. It tracks far more prompts at entry than anything else here, and covers the widest engine list.
  • Facts read from Scrunch's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

4. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Fourth, and first if you already pay for Semrush. Twenty-five prompts is thin for a serious programme, but it arrives inside a suite your team already opens.

  • Semrush sells AI visibility as a toolkit inside its wider SEO suite, at $99 a month billed annually, with 25 tracked prompts and one domain. Another 50 prompts is $60 a month, and extra domains or locations are $99 each.
  • It covers mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.
  • Choose it if you already pay for Semrush and want AI visibility next to the SEO tools you use daily rather than another login. It is the only option here that is part of a broader suite.
  • Facts read from Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

5. Peec AI

Fifth. The country tiering is the issue for an Indian brand that also exports: the entry plan is one country and one model.

  • Peec AI does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise by name with a "Talk to Sales" route.
  • It states the engines available across plans as "ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini". The number of models is tiered: Starter 1, Pro 2, Advanced 3.
  • Countries per project are tiered too: Starter 1, Pro 2, Advanced 5.
  • Choose it if you are happy to go through sales to get a number and want to pick which specific models you monitor. Be aware the entry plan monitors one model.
  • Facts read from Peec AI's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

6. Profound

Sixth for this reader specifically. The response volume is the best here, but self-serve plans are one language and one region, so an India-plus-export setup means Enterprise.

  • Starter is $99 a month and Growth $399 a month, both billed yearly, with Enterprise custom. Starter tracks 50 unique prompts and 1,500 responses monthly; Growth 100 prompts and 9,000 responses.
  • Self-serve plans monitor ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with Gemini, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Claude on Enterprise.
  • Starter and Growth are one language and one region. Multi-region means Enterprise.
  • Choose it if you want high response volume against a single market and are comfortable with annual billing. Nothing else here returns 9,000 responses a month at that tier.
  • Facts read from Profound's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

7. AthenaHQ

Seventh on this basis, and worth a look anyway for the free tier, which carries more engines than most paid entry plans on this page.

  • Essential is free with $25 of credit, Starter $295 a month with 17% off annually, Enterprise custom. It is priced in credits, where one credit is one AI response.
  • Essential covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot; Starter adds AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
  • Essential and Starter are single country and single language; multi-region is Enterprise.
  • Choose it if you want a genuinely free tier to try and a long engine list, for one market. Its free plan carries more engines than most paid entry plans here.
  • Facts read from AthenaHQ's own pricing page on 26 August 2026.

When another tool fits better

If you sell across more countries than the 8 AnswerTrace measures and you want them all live today, Otterly.AI is the better tool and this page should not talk you out of it. AnswerTrace adds countries on request, properly, with a buyer-question bank and search geography of their own rather than by relabelling an existing one, but "on request" is slower than "already there".

The other limits, in the same voice as everyone else's: It covers eight countries live today where Otterly.AI covers 50+, and adds more on request with a buyer-question bank and search geography of their own rather than by relabelling an existing one. It does not carry Microsoft Copilot at all, and engines unlock by tier rather than all arriving on the cheapest plan.

And if your buyers ask Microsoft Copilot which product to buy, Otterly.AI sees that and AnswerTrace does not. Whether that matters is a question about your buyers rather than about either tool.

What none of them can do

No tool on this page, ours included, can make an AI engine recommend you. Engines decide what to say from sources nobody controls, and they change their minds between runs. What these tools do is measure where you stand today and track what moves after you change something.

Any vendor promising you a placement is selling you something it cannot deliver. That includes us, which is why this page ranks tools on what they measure and what they cost rather than on outcomes none of us can promise.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI visibility tool is best for Indian SaaS brands?

AnswerTrace, on the four things that differ for an India-based brand: it measures 10 Indian languages as separate questions rather than translations, measures from 42 named Indian cities rather than a country default, bills in rupees, and costs about 70% less than the comparable international plan. Otterly.AI is the better choice if you sell across many countries at once, because it covers 50+ against AnswerTrace's 8.

Do any of these tools measure Hindi or Hinglish?

AnswerTrace measures Hinglish, Hindi and eight regional Indian languages, treating each as a separate question rather than a translation, because the brands an engine names change with the language. Of the other six tools on this page, none states Indian language support on its pricing page. That is a statement about what those pages say, not a claim about what those products can do.

Why does the language matter if the AI understands English?

Because understanding the question and answering it the same way are different things. Ask an engine the same buying question in English and in Hinglish and you often get a different set of brands back, since it draws on different sources. Measuring only in English tells you how you do with English-speaking buyers, which for most Indian brands is a slice of the market rather than the market.

Can I try any of them free?

AnswerTrace has a free plan that runs a real scan on ChatGPT with no credit card. AthenaHQ's Essential tier is free with $25 of credit and carries five engines. Otterly.AI's pricing page lists no free tier, only paid plans from $29. Checked 26 August 2026.
